Welcome back to our weekly #pottyadventures Instagram community roundup. We seem to have inadvertently moved this regular post from a Sunday afternoon to a Monday evening now. It was purely accidental (some might say lazy) at first, but at least it gives us the opportunity to include photos from all of your weekend adventures in their entirity. So make sure you check in with us on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter every Monday evening to see our weekly featured photos.
If, like us, you’ve also noticed the seismic change in temperature compared to last week, I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot more hats, coats and gloves appearing in photos tagged from the UK in the coming weeks. For those of you who join us and tag us in from overseas you’re a constant reminder as to why emigration is never far from my mind (I do but jest!). Wherever in the world you tag us in from, we genuinely love seeing your outdoor family adventures – whatever the weather! We’re pleased to welcome even more new community members this week who have added even more activities and destinations to inspire us. If you haven’t already, click on the #pottyadventures hashtag on any of these photos over an instagram to see the wealth of amazing outdoor family fun that is taking place.
My favourite photo from our personal #pottyadventures this week is of my gorgeous wife rocking the outdoor look she wears so well. Even when faced with soggy mountain passes, blustery winds, rain that persisted over the entire duration of our group hike (4 hours), and carrying our daughter throughout; she still manages to look awesome! Hiding somewhere on her back, sheltered from all of this is our one year old, Amelie.
My four favourite photos from you guys, our inspirational community members, were these beauties. Again, you show, through your photos, the learning, experience and joy that families, and kids in particular, can have in any season outdoors.
First up is @thehouseofwildhearts with their awesome family group shot from the beautiful Idyllwild, California. I personally understand how difficult it can be to hike with two very young children outdoors. But, more importantly, it can be so, so rewarding. It’s a lovely photo in a beautiful environment.

Next up is this lovely shot from @tinboxtraveller . You’d be forgiven for thinking that this was actually Burma. However, the Burma Rope Bridge at The Lost Gardens of Heligan is actually in Cornwall. It sure looks a great place to visit for little and big adventurers alike!

Now this next one, from @stonelymtb , deserves a lot of credit indeed. This was taken in the foothills of Snowdon, North Wales, somewhere between Cwm Llan waterfall and Craflwyn. And the reason it deserves a lot of credit? It didn’t stop raining for the four hours that they were hiking for and these guys were absolute troopers! I should know; I was there getting soaked with them on our latest Potty Adventures family friendly group hike.

The final of our featured favourites this week is from @nifer1015 . They are taking part in the brilliant Hike It Baby challenge for November and this lovely photo shows that not even a fallen tree was stopping their determined toddler from completing his miles that day.

As always, here’s a few more photos from the previous #pottyadventures week that made us smile. We hope they make you smile too.

It really could be Burma from the photo. Yeah Sunday was killing me as we tend to be out all day so Monday makes much more sense.
Love seeing all these great pictures! They put a smile on my face each week.
